Westgate EFI Get in the Saddle with 3EX.NET
One of the UK’s largest equestrian product distributors, Westgate EFI, has chosen to implement 3EX.NET Enterprise software from Exact Abacus. The leading-edge Microsoft-based application will be hosted at Westgate’s site in Romney Marsh and rolled out across the entire business, handling activity including: marketing, supply chain, forecasting, customer relationship management, sales order processing and stock control.
As a volume distributor of equestrian and clothing fashion products, Westgate EFI are targeting a return on investment within 12 months, through greatly enhanced inventory planning and warehouse management, using 3EX.NET mobile technologies. Financial Director, Daimien McConnell comments: “The key package requirement was an application that could handle our complex product range and enable the efficient management of our stockholdings. The sheer velocity of activity demanded a mobile solution and we are confident that the 3EX.NET system will transform our business almost overnight.”
Westgate EFI will take advantage of the innovative 3EX.NET software licensing terms. The subscription-only model has significantly reduced initial setup costs, enabling the business to plan a long-term IT investment strategy. Daimien continues: “like most distribution companies, we prefer to put our capital into marketing, stock and tangible assets. Therefore 3EX.NET licensing terms are very attractive, as we are able to take advantage of the technology in the knowledge that monthly costs are manageable and linked to business growth.”
The contract win caps a good year for Exact Abacus, who launched the 3EX.NET product in October 2007 and planned for a ‘soft’ market introduction during 2008 to allow for early implementations to be completed. Sales Director, Lee Thompson comments: “it is fair to say that our expectations for 3EX.NET have been well exceeded this year and our pipeline for 2009 is looking strong. The proposition is truly innovative on many different levels and clients are switching on to the capabilities of .NET technology and our zero-capital licensing model.”
